Adventure Cameraman Paul ‘Mungo’ Mungeam Leads The Journey To Uncover Mysterious Creatures In New Discovery Series Expedition Mungo
When adventure beckons, Mungo is there. As one of Britain’s most experienced adventure cameramen, Paul ‘Mungo’ Mungeam has travelled to more than 90 countries to capture the world’s wild and wonderful – and sometimes hostile – environments. In the brand-new series, Expedition Mungo, he’s now stepping in front of the camera to go on his own adventures, exploring myths and legends he’s heard during his 20 years travelling the world.
Throughout Mungo’s travels, he’s encountered locals with fascinating, bone-chilling tales of mythical creatures that have been passed down as legend and lore from generation to generation. Now he’s going to lead a trusted team of fellow adventurers to some of the most remote and undiscovered corners of the globe in the hope of separating fact from fiction.
On each quest, Mungo meets with eye witnesses, searching for clues and evidence in hope of capturing these myths and legends on camera to reveal the truth behind some of the wildest stories and most mysterious animals. Mungo and his team will travel the globe in search for answers . . . from Asia to Africa to South America.
Legends include: an unidentified dragon-like reptile terrorizing a village in Borneo; a shape-shifting creature that locals in the savannah in Namibia believed to be linked to witchcraft; and a massive lizard in Liberia looking very much like a dinosaur thought to be extinct.
EXPEDITION MUNGO premieres exclusively in the UK on Discovery Channel, 8pm, Tuesday 12th September (Sky 520, Virgin 250, BT TV 322).
