Adventure race in the Indian Sub-Continent (April 6 – 16th, 2017)
Endeavour India is a team adventure race, taking place over four consecutive days in the heart of the Himalayas. The tough, action packed challenge takes participants from the lush foothills of the Himalayas, up into wild terrain inhabited by India’s hardy Gaddi shepherds and finally to the majestic, snow clad mountain passes.
Both a mental and physical challenge, participants will be tested all the way from the jam-packed streets of Delhi to the Dalai Lama’s palace in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. Whether traversing lowland forests or scaling 14,000 ft peaks, participants will have to really push themselves whilst always keeping their sense of humour.
The rules are simple. The race is a team event, with teams made up of five runners. Times are calculated by adding together the times of all team members for each stage. The fastest aggregate of these wins that stage. All stage times are added together to give a total race time, with the fastest being the event winners.
With temperatures along the course ranging from a balmy 30° C in the foothills to a bone chilling -10° C on the high passes, participants will have to undertake mandatory – and very enjoyable – pre-race survival training.
