Hikers and hillwalkers with wide feet can now find leather boots tailored to their needs. British boot manufacturer Altberg has launched a G-Fit version of the Keld, a two to three season walking boot, to offer more width and volume. Importantly, the boots are completely scaled up to their broader size, including wider midsoles and outer soles, whereas many wide fit boots simply stitch a wider upper to a standard sized sole unit. The Keld has a seamless, one-piece construction, made from Nubuck leather , backed by a Sympatex waterproof and breathable lining, and with a full rubber rand outside to protect from scuffs.
