Triathletes and time-trialists take a close look – here’s the first TT bike we’ve seen with disc brakes. Specialist bike maker Parlee has found a way to shield the brakes in order to maintain aerodynamics, while delivering the reassuring stopping power of discs. Key advantages include the ability to use wheels with carbon rims, without worrying about overheating or insufficient traction, particularly on hilly routes. Disc brakes also make it easier to switch between training and race wheels, without adjusting the brake callipers (as is often the case with rim brakes).
