Columbia has announced that for Spring 2017 it will be releasing a new collection of shoes and active wear as part of a collaboration with its sister brand Montrail.

Aimed specifically at trail and mountain running, the line will comprise of a number of different products for different trail types and end uses, including a line for recovery and a line designed for speed.


Here’s a sneak preview of some of the new trail running shoes that are set for release.


Caldorado II OutDry Extreme


The Caldorado utilises Columbia’s innovative waterproof and breathable membrane already seen in a number of releases over the past two years. It’s a shoe that supposedly provides the ideal balance between support, traction and cushioning.

Trient OutDry Extreme


Another waterproof shoe, Columbia say that the terrain and demands of the Ultra-Trail du Mont Blanc inspired its design.

Trans Alps F.K.T


A trimmed down mountain running shoe intended to be lightweight and fast while still offering support and aggressive traction.

The full Columbia Montrail line of shoes and apparel will be available from February 2017.
