In SS18, The North Face seriously upgrades its revolutionary Apex Flex GTX Jacket creating a much lighter, more stream-lined version of waterproof jacket, with refreshed mountain-colour styling.
The technology, first released for SS17, was a world first in outerwear, fusing practicality and comfort with an entirely waterproof shell and the cotton feel of the inner, achieved by using a Flexible Woven GORE-TEX® 3L fabric.
Dropping 40g of the total weight, the Apex Flex GTX 2.0 has all the remarkable qualities of the original but at a lighter dimension of 800g, and is 12% more breathable. With a noticeable increase in lightness, the wearer will benefit from an unprecedented range of motion and comfort, even in the most unpredictable of conditions.
Darren Cookson, VP Product at The North Face® EMEA explains, “The Apex Flex was an innovative addition to the category of waterproof outerwear when first released and this updated model creates even more versatility for the wearer, whatever the weather. The Apex Flex 2.0 has been designed and constructed with activity at forefront-of-mind and so by using a Flexible Woven GORE-TEX fabric, it allows you to stay comfortable and dry, no matter what the outdoors holds for the wearer – a jacket for every occasion.”
Available in both men’s and women’s styles, and in a variety of vibrant colourways, the Apex Flex GTX 2.0 jacket retails at £250, and is available at www.thenorthface.co.uk and The North Face® stores.
