Jonathan Manning compared 2016’s best high performance jerseys for cycling. On test: Altura Peloton
The colour blocks on this jersey create a flattering impression, and while it doesn’t sag, I did find it bagged across the chest (although body geometry is highly individual). The three pockets are deep and secure, and the smaller zipped pocket has a hole for an MP3 cable.
The good-sized mesh panels under the arms did help to keep me cooler during interval sessions, and all the fabrics seem to be perforated with pin pricks for better breathability, which bodes well for really hot days.
A generous gripper hem keeps it in place, while on chillier starts the high-zipping neck traps heat effectively. It’s currently £33.74 on wiggle.co.uk, so a real steal.
