Zwift: You may have heard of this if you know a cyclist – it’s a popular virtual experience, where you’re on a stationary bike cycling with others on screen for an immersive training session.
If you always run outside you might be sceptical, but this is a great idea for very bad weather days, or if you can’t get out but can get to a gym.
All you need is a tablet and foot pod (The Zwift Run pod costs £29.99) to set up, or a bluetooth enabled treadmill. Sign up for your free account and you’ll be running the streets of London and other iconic places before you know it. Still in its early stages, this doesn’t have the choice that the cycling one does, but it’s well on its way and has excellent training programmes too. Give it a go!
